Serving Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, Bayou Ash has been under contract with Big Cajun II, a coal-fired power plant, since 1981.
Big Cajun II is the largest producer of Class C Fly Ash in Louisiana. Bayou Ash markets and sells fly ash in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.
Fly Ash is a pozzolan which can be used as a partial replacement for cement in concrete and concrete products. Fly Ash is also used for drying and stabilizing soil for building foundations, parking lots and roadways. In addition, it has many environmental applications, including drying waste pits and solidifying liquid waste in landfills.
